Meet Neha, Founder of Uplyft Weddings
Some passions don't begin with a career. They begin with a feeling.
Chapter One : The Beginning
Growing up as the youngest of five siblings, I wasn't the one cooking in the kitchen. That was my mother's gift, with my sisters helping bring every meal to life. My role was simple: set the table. But even as a child, I couldn't help adding my own touch: playing with colors, arranging the presentation, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I wanted every guest to walk in, pause, and simply say, "Wow."
Looking back, I wasn't decorating a table. I was creating an experience.
Chapter Two : Finding My Creative Voice
As life unfolded, I earned my MBA and built a successful professional career, but my creative passion never left me. It naturally evolved into my first venture, Celebrations, where I began designing intimate events and memorable gatherings. My love for thoughtful design then grew into residential interiors, with my own home becoming a reflection of my style and eventually leading to client projects and the opportunity to design a commercial restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Every project deepened my understanding that beautiful spaces aren't just seen. They're felt.
Chapter Three : Where It All Came Together
Then came weddings.
Neha leads a studio that has transformed the Indian wedding landscape in Arizona. She has designed and executed over 200 weddings, each with its own unique story, approaching every consultation with enthusiasm and care. She believes no two families or weddings are alike, cherishing meaningful moments such as a father‑daughter dance or a grandmother’s smile recognizing a cultural ritual.
When she is not planning weddings, Neha mentors young South Asian event planners, writes about cultural identity and celebration, and raises her two children with respect for tradition. She believes weddings celebrate not only couples but also the community’s history of love and resilience.
